Hon. Lady Chidinma S. Oparaocha is a distinguished educationist, public servant, and philanthropist whose impact spans governance, community development, and social welfare. With a Bachelor of Education (BEd) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Hon. Lady Oparaocha began her professional journey as an educationist, passionately advocating for quality education and inclusive learning environments. Her deep commitment to social welfare led her to engage actively in philanthropy and women’s organizations, where she worked to empower women and support underprivileged communities.

Her extensive services to the Government of Imo State include:

Special Adviser to the Local Government (Owerri North), where she played a crucial role in grassroots development initiatives and local governance.

Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Imo State on Special Education and Orphanages. In this role, she championed policies to support children with special needs and improve conditions in orphanages across the state.

Her expertise and dedication to infrastructural and economic development earned her an appointment as a Commissioner in the Imo State Electricity Regulation Commission (ISERC), where she oversees Marketing, Competition, and Rates. In this capacity, she plays a crucial role in shaping policies that enhance electricity accessibility, affordability, and fair market competition in Imo State.

Beyond public service, Hon. Lady Chidinma S. Oparaocha was before now a contractor, specializing in borehole, reticulation, rural electrification, erosion control and supplies.
